Kapral Vodka

Kapral Vodka is a University project that is very close to my heart.

Here is the brief:

I decided to honour the story of Wojtek the bear. This is a story about a bear that was found in Iran as a bear cub – to then be raised by Polish soldiers and eventually getting his own rank in the military of corporal.

It is said that Wojtek carried ammunition onto the battlefield during the battle of monte casino. Wojtek was a well respected member of the Polish army and eventually passed away in the Edenborough zoo.

As someone who is big on History I knew this was a perfect story to base my alcohol brand around. So I started off by creating a logo that pays homage to Wojtek’s badge.

I then designed the bottle and label. I finished the bottle off with a touch of leather on the cap.

The box was designed with the old Polish ammunition crates in mind. I made this box from scratch with my dad, with a bit of wood that we had laying around.

After all of that was done, it was time to assemble everything and make it real!

Finally the leaflet. I wanted the leaflet to look like an old war map that opens up like one too. This is a good way for the customer to understand what kind of story is behind this alcohol.

I also went for vodka as it is a traditional Polish alcohol made with wheat.

All in all, this is my favourite project from university. I am very happy with how it turned out and I still have all of these elements on my shelf at home because I am just that proud of it.
